Đurić emphasised that Serbia demonstrated at this gathering that it stands among those who care about ensuring equal treatment both for small island nations in the Caribbean and countries of Central and South America.
The Serbian delegation presented a positive image of the country’s economic progress and the opportunities that exist, and Serbia’s presence in Antigua and Barbuda was also important in the context of the topic of Kosovo and Metohija, he said.
The Minister conveyed that one of the key topics in the Serbian delegation’s discussions was Specialised Expo 2027, which will be hosted by Belgrade.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed satisfaction with the number of bilateral meetings held – as many as 15 in only three days – during which a wide range of topics was discussed, including the economy, politics, security, global issues and more.
Đurić particularly underlined the importance of the meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau in terms of Serbia’s positioning in the Western Hemisphere, and noted that an agreement on visa abolition was signed with the friendly country of Saint Lucia.
