Speaking in Antigua and Barbuda, Đurić said that Serbia strives to ensure stability and predictability in its own environment along this path.
Serbia’s foreign policy is based on rational assessments, aligned with the needs of its citizens, and focused on the protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity as key pillars of the country’s national identity, the Minister said, expressing gratitude to all those who respect Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
As a permanent observer to the OAS, Serbia firmly believes in the importance of multilateralism and the contributions that this organisation makes to stability, development and democracy throughout the Americas, Đurić emphasised.
He noted that Serbia is open to strengthening its relations with the Americas through trade, investment in infrastructure and energy, educational programmes and cooperation in the field of sustainable development.
Pointing out that the OAS plays an important role in shaping cooperation among countries in the Western Hemisphere, the Minister remarked that Serbia, as a European partner, is ready to serve as a bridge for enhancing cooperation between the two regions.
The head of Serbian diplomacy also recalled that Belgrade will host Specialised Expo 2027 and that the recent planning meeting in Serbia gathered representatives from as many as 154 countries.
