Conclusion of an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation represents a significant contribution to the improvement of bilateral economic and financial cooperation among the Republic of Serbia and other contracting parties since the decisions contained in such agreement eliminate double taxation of individuals and legal entities - residents of two countries. The application of the agreement provides the legal prerequisite for more efficient employment and competitiveness of Serbian residents in the other contracting state, i.e. residents of the other contracting state in the Republic of Serbia.
