Speaking at a press conference, at which the national project “Serbia against drugs” was presented, Milosavljevic said that the campaign will also be carried out in Novi Sad, Subotica, Kragujevac, Valjevo, Krusevac, Nis and Zajecar.
He said that during the campaign an interactive 3D holographic installation will be used through which the young will be able to see a realistic representation of the negative effects of drugs on the organism and how addiction leads to erosion of the personality.
This campaign is the right way to show that there is only one answer to the challenge of drugs, and that is ‘No’.
According to research, 15.1% of fourteen year olds have tried a psychoactive substance at least once.
The percentage is 15.3% of girls and 14.8% of boys, he said, noting that the number of marijuana users is increasing in Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad.
Milosavljevic pointed to the significant role that the media have in informing young people and adults about the importance of healthy lifestyles and the dangers of using psychoactive substances.
He recalled that the Ministry of Health has received funds from the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) project for implementing a national strategy against the abuse of drugs.
The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the results of previous campaigns and actions in the fight against drug abuse.
