Vucic stated that the Serbian delegation
spoke with representatives of French companies who expressed great interest in investing in Serbia, and added that agreements on concrete cooperation or expansion of the existing investments were made.
He informed Montebourg about reforms and new laws that Serbia plans to implement and adopt by the end of the summer, noting that our country hopes to get help from France in the form of know-how regarding the implementation of public-private partnerships.
The Serbian Prime Minister thanked his collocutor for the help offered, and asked for France's support in the implementation of infrastructure projects, particularly those of rail, subway and airports.
The French Minister of Industrial Renewal suggested forming a bilateral working group which would find an appropriate solution, and stressed that the two governments must be involved in the implementation of these projects, especially of the metro.
The Prime Minister also thanked France on the assistance in the preparation of the donors’ conference for the clean-up of flood consequences and invited Montebourg to visit Serbia.
Montebourg said that the visit of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Minister of Economy Dusan Vujovic and Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali to France is a great opportunity for the development of cooperation between the two countries.
He pointed out that both the President and Prime Minister of France are united in giving support to Serbia on its path towards the EU and in the implementation of reforms.
France is ready to share its experience with Serbia in implementing public-private partnerships, Montebourg confirmed and proposed concrete cooperation between ministries of economy of the two countries.
Prime Minister Vucic today also attended a working lunch organised at the initiative of President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of France Elisabeth Guigou.
Vucic and Guigou spoke about Serbia’s European path, relations in the region, dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, relations with Russia and Ukraine and the donors’ conference which will be held in Brussels on 16 July at the initiative of France.
