Ljajic told Tanjug news agency that Lidl will buy the land for the construction of facilities in at least 15 cities and municipalities of Serbia by June.
He pointed out that the state will try to reduce red tape and facilitate the procedures for obtaining various permits.
When it comes to the arrival of the Swedish company Ikea, the Deputy Prime Minister explained that the company has problems with obtaining various permits.
He noted that it is necessary to amend the Law on planning and construction, not only because of the arrival of the chain stores, but also because of the improvement of the overall economic and business environment in the country.
The arrival of large retail chains in Serbia would contribute to increasing competition and therefore to better prices for consumers, concluded Ljajic.
