The government’s Office for Information Technology and eGovernment announced that new modules were put into operation today at the State Data Centre in Kragujevac, in the presence of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, including a new supercomputer and solar panels installed on the roof of the facility.

On that occasion, Vučić noted that this brings an additional 8 MW of energy capacity, bringing the total to 14 MW.
Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanović stated that this has significantly expanded the existing capacities and further strengthened the digital infrastructure.
He also announced that a third supercomputer will soon be introduced, meaning that by early 2027, Serbia will have a total of 720 graphics processing units.
Jovanović noted that solar panels with an installed capacity of 300 kW have been deployed on the roof of the State Data Centre, explaining that the energy produced in this way can cover the entire consumption of the administrative section and the general consumption of the Data Centre.
The State Data Centre in Kragujevac has been recertified and holds the highest European EN 50600 class four certification for the design, construction and operation of data centres, making it unique in this part of Europe.
