At a meeting of the parliament’s finance committee, Krstic explained that the budget proposal for the next year provides for the minimum of necessary measures and the maximum of social responsibility.
Therefore it reflects the government’s plan, said the Minister adding that it includes responsible behaviour in the public sector and solving the problems in banks.
Krstic said that the government is committed to tackling the gray economy in three to four years, adding that first steps have been taken already.
Presenting the proposed package of financial laws, Krstic said that hiring in the public sector will be limited, noting that the number of employees in this sector exceeds the initial assessment of the government.
For the proposed budget to be implemented, both financially and socially responsible behaviour is needed, Krstic concluded.
The parliament session discussing the budget bill begins tomorrow.
