At an annual awards ceremony of the Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce to GM Leonardi and SIM Industry Service, Radulovic said that he expects many Italian companies to invest in Serbia, as it will be valuable for Serbia on its path towards the EU as well as for boosting its economic growth and creating new jobs.
He pointed out that the list of those companies in restructuring is already available on the website of the
Ministry of Economy.
The invitation is open and we expect to solve the internal state in these companies by the end of the year, and to create their clean balance sheets, so that investors can come, said Radulovic.
Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo pointed out that the year 2013 was record high for the amount of foreign trade of Serbia and Italy, which amounted to about €2 billion, and everything started with the investment of Fiat, which is today the largest Serbian exporter.
In Serbia today there are more than 500 Italian companies operating and employing more than 20,000 workers, said Manzo.
Manzo also said that the Italian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce is officially the largest association of foreign businessmen in Serbia, with 222 members.
The ceremony was also attended by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamocic and Acting Director of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) Vladimir Milenkovic.
