The Statistics Office announced that the overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January – September 2013 amounted to $25561.5 million, which was a 16.1% increase compared to the same period 2012, or €19407.1 million, which was a 13% increase compared to the same period 2012.
The value of exports amounted to $10681.9 million, which was a 30.3% increase when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to $14879.6 million, which was a 7.6% increase relative to the same period last year.
Expressed in euros, the value of exports amounted to €8108.2 million, which was an increase of 26.7%, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to €11298.9 million, which was a 4.8% increase when compared to the same period last year.
The deficit amounted to $4197.7 million, which was a decrease of 25.4% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in euros amounted to €3190.7 million, which was a decrease of 27.2% compared to the same period last year.
The export-import ratio equalled 71.8% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 59.3%.
