According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications, representatives of 32 local companies specialising in the production of agricultural, food and confectionery products and household chemicals presented their products range and prices at the headquarters of Auchan for central and eastern Europe in Kiev.
Both sides expressed their hope that after Auchan representatives examine the offers of Serbian companies, concrete cooperation will ensue very soon.
The visit of the Serbian business delegation to the Auchan headquarters in Kiev is a result of the agreement made by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic with the company’s leadership during their visit to Belgrade in June this year.
Auchan is the second biggest retail chain in France and the tenth in the world, with annual revenues of €47 billion and more than 300,000 employees.
This company is doing business in 12 countries of the western, central and eastern Europe and Asia, it has 50,000 items on offer and contracts with 1,500 suppliers, it is added in the statement.
