Dacic said the Serbian-Slovenian business conference held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) that investment opportunities in Serbian companies in Slovenia will be discussed with the Slovenian business delegation.
He pointed out that Slovenia is among the top 10 countries in total trade with Serbia, and that Slovenian investment in our country so far amounted to €1.4 billion.
Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek pointed out that Slovenia is selling 15 state-owned enterprises under transparent conditions, and added that investors from Serbia are welcome to tender.
Bratusek said that the sale of the Slovenian company Fructal to Serbian Nectar is a good experience for both countries.
She pointed out that the relations between the two countries are excellent and that there are traditionally good cooperation, and reiterated that Slovenia will offer its experience to help Serbia's accession to the European Union.
PKS President Zeljko Sertic stressed that a number of companies from Slovenia are operating in Serbia, while Nectar, Comtrade and Beohemija are the only Serbian companies operating in Slovenia.
Trade between the two countries has dropped to between 800 and 900 million since 2008, when trade stood at above €1 billion.
There are more than 1,500 businesses and branch offices in Slovenia, of which approximately 500 are active, with more than 35,000 workers, he said.
