Serbia’s external trade in January-June period stands at $16234.7m

The Serbian Statistical Office stated today that the overall external trade of the Republic of Serbia for the period January – June 2013 amounted to $16234.7 million, which is a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2012.
The value of exports amounted to $6551.9 million, which is an increase of 21.8% when compared to the same period last year, while the value of imports amounted to $9682.8 million, which is an increase of 3.2% relative to the same period last year.
Expressed in Euros, the value of exports amounted to €4986.2 million, which was an increase of 20.3%, compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to €7368.2 million, which was an increase of 1.9% when compared to the same period last year.
Expressed in Euros, the overall external trade for the given period amounted to €12354.4 million, which was an 8.6% increase compared to the same period in 2012. The deficit amounted to $3130.8 million, which was a decrease of 21.9% in relation to the same period last year. The deficit expressed in Euros amounted to 2382.0 million, which was a decrease of 22.7% compared to the same period last year. The export - import ratio equaled 67.7% and was higher if compared to the same period last year when it was 57.3%.
