During the meeting the interlocutors expressed their satisfaction with the high level of political relations between Serbia and China, stressing that they must be accompanied by proper economic cooperation.
Li Jinzao pointed out that trade between Serbia and China is growing year in year out, and Ljajic said he expects that the export of Serbian products to the Chinese market will increase significantly in the future.
Ljajic presented the problem of Serbian exporters of food products to China, who have been waiting for more than six months for certificates from Chinese authorities in order to export goods worth $10 million to the market of China.
Li Jinzao said that this problem will be solved shortly and that procedures for rapid certification of Serbian food have been initiated.
The Deputy Prime Minister also invited Chinese investors to participate in the completion of the privatisation process in Serbia, stressing that our country is the most favourable business destination in the region and that the state provides significant incentives and benefits to all investors, reads a statement by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.
