Serbia’s public debt reduced by €309m in April

The Ministry of Finance and Economy stated today that the public debt of the Republic of Serbia at the end of May stood at €18.9 billion, down by €107 million in relation to the previous month.

The statement says that as a result of the debt repayment by the state, the share of public debt in GDP declined to 56.3%.
The latest data show that in January-May this year, the deficit of consolidated budget amounted to RSD 78.3 billion. At the same time, the national budget deficit was RSD 96 billion.
The result consolidated the entire state is better than the national level, given the fact that in certain sectors of the consolidated surplus.
The largest surplus in the first five months of this year was made by cities and municipalities, totaling RSD 10 billion, and the Health Insurance Fund in the amount of RSD 7.8 billion.
The surplus was also made by the Fund for Military Social Insurance (RSD 0.8 billion), Vojvodina (RSD 2.7 billion) and “Roads of Serbia” company (RSD 0.4 billion).
