The aim of the meeting is to connect local exporters with potential buyers in South Korea, and the organisers of the meeting are the Importers Association of the Republic of Korea (KOIMA), the SIEPA and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The Korean delegation includes 14 companies interested in importing products from our country, and over 50 Serbian companies presented their offer to them.
The participants in the meeting were addressed by Korean Ambassador to Serbia Kim Kwang-keun, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Economy Aleksandar Ljubic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications Stevan Nikcevic, SIEPA Director Bozidar Laganin and Deputy Director of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Rasa Ristivojevic.
The choice of products that Korean firms want to import from Serbia is varied and, among other things, includes wheat flour, organic food, medicinal herbs, aluminium sheets, furniture, wood, mineral water and so on.
Although the export of products from Serbia to South Korea has doubled in the last two years, this market of approximately 50 million people remains unused by our exporters, and this meeting provides an opportunity to enhance this cooperation, reads the statement by SIEPA.
