Economic development based on growth of export, employment

Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic said in Subotica today that the main task of the Serbian government at the moment is to help serious investors to open factories in the whole country.

Speaking at the opening of the factory of rubber hoses "ContiTech Fluid Serbia", which is part of the German company "Continental", Dinkic said that the aim of the Serbian government is to develop similar production in the entire country.
The Minister said that the Serbian government has set up a clear plan of economic recovery based on growth of export and employment.
As a result, Serbia achieved record export in April in the amount of €950 million in goods, he stated and added that 20% of this is export from the automotive industry.
Dinkic said that in the strategy of industrial development the automotive industry has the highest priority because of a large share in total exports. The Minister noted that in the first four months of this year, exports grew by 24%, while imports stagnated, so the trade deficit of Serbia has been reduced by one fifth.
He underlined that Subotica can be proud of the fact that it managed to attract a company like "Continental", and announced the beginning of construction of “Swarovski” factory in the industrial area of Subotica in July.
Dinkic underlined that "Continental" employed 150 workers in Subotica and in the next few months it will hire 150 more, and that is what our country needs.
