Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic met with Deputy Chairman of the Board at Sberbank Sergey Gorkov and President of the Executive Board at Sberbank Serbia Valeriy Ovsyannikov to discuss possible cooperation through the support to Serbian exports to the Russian market and investments in Serbia.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy said that Gorkov informed Dinkic that Serbia can count on far more support in funding Serbian economy and investment by Sberbank.
They also discussed the possibilities that Sberbank provides financial support to investors coming from Russia, but also from countries of the former USSR, including Belarus and Kazakhstan.
It was agreed to intensify talks on the support that Sberbank could provide in stimulating Serbian exports to Russia, through the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
Sberbank's management informed Dinkic that the bank wants to provide more direct support to Serbian companies, and that it plans to create a special programme for financing farmers, the statement added.
