Speaking at a two-day conference of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held in Istanbul, he said that those are central themes of the conference, adding that Serbia is one of the few countries that in the first quarter of this year recorded a GDP growth of 2%.
It is a modest and insufficient growth and Serbia needs to quickly grow and develop, given that there is uneven development, the Minister said and added that the automotive industry in our country encourages the development, but help must be given to other sectors as well.
Dinkic met today with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti, Director of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Romualdo Massa Bernucci, Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) Rolf Wenzel, Swiss Federal Governor Johann N. Schneider-Ammann, as well as representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
He said that he talked with Chakrabarti and Bernucci about the support to the private and SME sector for starting production.
The Minister today aslo addressed a roundtable on investment opportunities and possibilities in Serbia, which was exceptionally well attended and attracted a lot of attention of the participants the annual meeting, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
