Twice as many incentives for investors in municipalities in southern Serbia

Minister of Regional Development and Local Self-Government Verica Kalanovic said today that the government is doing everything to provide equal opportunities for all so that all citizens could have a normal life.

Speaking at the first fair of the investment potentials of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), she said that the municipalities will always have a reliable and stable partner in the Ministry.
The Minister pointed out that this event should be seen as an opportunity for the municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja presented as areas where it is worth to invest, build factories and employ people.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Local Self-Government is willing to assist them, as evidenced by concrete investments in the past three years, she said.
During this period, she recalled, more than RSD 550 million was invested in the small and medium-sized enterprises, and RSD 145 million infrastructure projects.
The Minister said that apart from equipping the industrial zone, the Ministry and Presevo municipality will this year jointly invest more than RSD 50 million in the development of basic infrastructure.
Also, the state will motivate investors that invest there, as incentives are twice higher than those for the developed areas, she said.
Therefore, Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja provide a development opportunity, she concluded.
