Investments in IT sector prevent outflow of young professionals

Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic said today that the state provides support to companies in the IT industry because of investments in this area are proportionally smaller compared to the expected profit and revenue of the entire country.

After touring company Schneider Electric in Novi Sad, Dinkic said that in this way the state stops the outflow of young professionals, and added that we invest in education of young people, we should do everything so that they can to find work in their own country, and not to leave it.
The Minister pointed out that Schneider Electric is a big company that employs 1,000 engineers mainly from Novi Sad and Vojvodina, and that has strong links with the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad, from which it recruits new staff.
We want to help such companies in the future, both through tax incentives that will be adopted in the first half of the year, and through the provision of appropriate guarantees for investments if they seriously plan to build technology parks and to employ young professionals and engineers, he said.
If we increase investments in the IT sector, he pointed out, there is a possibility for experts that left Serbia to return to the country.
Dinkic today also participates in a round table discussion on improving the IT sector in Serbia, to be held at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
