Dinkic, who is on a working visit to Abu Dhabi, said that the document envisages that the agro-industrial company Al Dahra Agriculture, as part of a joint venture, invest more than €200 million in eight state-run agricultural farms.
He said that Al Dahra will invest €100 million in the construction of irrigation systems and the purchase of modern equipment, while the additional €100 million will be used for the acquisition of 80% of share in joint companies in which the state will retain 20% of ownership.
Dinkic and Finance Minister of the UAE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer also signed today in Abu Dhabi the Agreement between the government of Serbia and the government of the United Arab Emirates on the avoidance of double taxation related to income tax.
Dinkic also met with Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi.
Dinkic and Al Suwaidi reached an agreement in principle that the Fund should give substantial funds to Serbia for the modernisation of the existing and construction of new infrastructure for irrigation and drainage systems throughout the country.
Also, it was agreed that a delegation of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development visit Belgrade in the upcoming weeks, where talks on the details of the agreement will be continued.
Dinkic also spoke today with Chief Operating Officer of Mubadala company Waleed Ahmed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi.
During the talks it was agreed that the expert team of this company analyse in detail the possibility of building a factory of semiconductors (chips) in Serbia, with the application of the latest high technology and recruit about 1,000 top local engineers, which would require intensive cooperation with faculties of natural sciences and engineering in Serbia.
