Consumer prices in December 2012, compared with December 2011, increased by 12.2% and average annual growth amounted to 7.8%.
Observed by main groups according to destination of consumption in December 2012 in relation to the previous month, the greatest increase of prices was noted in the groups health (1.3%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.1%), restaurants and hotels (0.9%), Clothing and footwear (0.6%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and education (by 0.4% each).
A drop in prices was noted in food and non-alcoholic beverages sector (-1.5%) and transport (-0.6%).
Prices of other goods and services mostly remained unchanged.
