Consumer prices in September 2012, compared with September 2011, increased by 10.3% and by 9.6% in relation to December 2011.
Observed by main groups according to designated consumption, in September 2012 in relation to the previous month, the largest hike in prices was noted in the following groups: food and non-alcoholic beverages (5.0%), transport (2.4%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (2.0), education (1.8%), restaurants and hotels (1.7%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.8%), health (0.6%) and clothing and footwear (0.5%).
In the same period, a decrease in prices was noted in recreation and culture (6.1%).
The prices of other products and services did not change significantly.
CPI COICOP is defined as a measure of the average change of retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption, the statement adds.
