Status of Valjevo companies to be solved soon

Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic announced today in Valjevo that the status of Srbijanka, Valjevska Pivara brewery and other enterprises in Valjevo will be resolved as soon as possible and also added that measures will be taken to strengthen the city infrastructure.

After meeting with the Mayor of Valjevo Stanko Terzic aimed at making plans on how to make Valjevo a regional centre again, Dinkic said that the city should regain its former glory.
The Minister said that the Serbian government is dedicated to even regional development and will see to the development of all cities in Serbia.
After a meeting with the city management, Dinkic visited the Gorenje factory, which recently began constructing a new facility in this city.
He said that Gorenje home appliances manufacturer will invest €20 million in the new plant in which there will be room for 400 new workers.
The new Valjevo factory will span around 20,000 square metres on a plot next to the current factory, he said.
Dinkic expressed satisfaction with the fact that the investment has been launched, and said that upon its completion, Gorenje in Valjevo will have more than 1,000 workers.
Gorenje in Valjevo has recorded a record high production and added that capacity expansion comes at the right moment.
Gorenje plans to put the plant under its roof by the middle of November. Trial production should start as of 15 January while full production is scheduled to begin on 1 February, he said, adding that it is important that the Slovene company will produce goods mainly for the export market.
