Minister of Finance and Economy Mladjan Dinkic announced today that the French manufacturer of tyres Michelin, which in 2005 bought Tigar Tyres in Pirot, plans to double the production for export, while the German Bosch wll invest €71 million in its new factory in Pecinci.

Dinkic said after separate meetings with representatives of the two companies that the Pirot company plans to invest €170 million in expanding production capacities and employ 700 new workers.
The factory now employs 1900 workers, he said.
The Minister said that the German Bosch wll invest €71 million in its new factory in Pecinci and will have 620 open positions there.
The factory should be completed by the end of the year, which will be the first phase of investment the company, he noted.
By the end of the year Bosch should erect a production hall of 22,000 square metres, while next year, its surface should be twice as bigger, said Dinkic.
He recalled that a competition for 25 electro and mechanical engineers has already been announced and they will be sent to Germany for training.
