Ciric, who attended the Hannover International Fair of Technology and Innovation, recalled in his statement to the Tanjug news agency that Serbia has had large investments from Italy and Austria, and that German companies are slowly starting coming to Serbia.
He gave the example of Bosch and pointed out to an important fact that such a company, which has 10 to 15 patents a day, decided to open its first factory in Serbia.
Bosch’s investment in Serbia has confirmed that large multinational corporations are beginning to invest in Serbia and are seeing our country in a new way, he said.
The Hanover fair, that will last until 27 April, will present ten Serbian companies and the metal cluster of Vojvodina.
Under the motto "Metal and Machine", the Serbian economy at its stand in Hall 4 will present the production programme in the field of metal and mechanical industry.
Moreover, Serbia will tomorrow also be presented at the Day of Serbian-German Economy, a gathering in which German businesspeople are very interested and 120 companies have already applied for participation.
Ciric voiced his pleasure at this fact, adding that this affirms the interest of German companies in expanding export to or investing in Serbia.
Such interest in the fair shows that Serbia is a very attractive investment target, he added.
The Minister observed that it is very beneficial that the Serbian government, his Ministry and SIEPA have together enabled the presence of small, medium-sized and large companies at a fair such as this one in Hanover.
This is certainly the most important world exposition of technology and innovation devoted to finding technological solutions for sustainable industrial production in various sectors.
The Minister stressed that Serbian companies have products that can compete with the German ones by their quality, while their prices are two to three times more favourable.
We have huge potential and in the period ahead we must work harder to promote our economy, Ciric noted.
