Kalanovic presented the representatives of Andrea Confezioni with an agreement on the allocation of non-repayable funds for stimulating investments, thanks to which the company will hire 500 workers.
Andrea Confezioni was granted €9,000 per each newly-created job and its investment project envisages an investment of at least €9 million in the construction of a production facility of 8,000 square metres and the procurement of equipment.
The Jagodina factory will be this company’s fifth and largest factory in the world.
Andrea Confezioni manufactures tarpaulins for the protection of vehicles and motorcycles and with its new factory in Serbia it plans to expand that production capacity in order to meet all of its clients’ demands.
The company’s clients are Audi, BMW, Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Ford, Hyundai, Porsche and Suzuki.
The factory will be 500 metres away from Corridor 10 and it should be completed by August. Between 120 and 150 workers will be engaged in the construction and the contractor is a domestic company.
Kalanovic reiterated that Serbia must be faster and more assertive in creating possibilities for new jobs, adding that the program of investment incentives is the best systemic measure against unemployment in Serbia.
Thanks to the program, foreign companies, such as Yura, Benetton, Falke, Pompea and Leoni, have invested in Serbia, she recalled.
Developing infrastructure is also important for attracting investment and Jagodina industrial zone meets all infrastructure conditions, for which more than €2 million was allocated from the National Investment Plan, Kalanovic observed.
