Following a meeting with Panasonic representatives, Ciric stressed that the fact that this Japanese company will remain in Svilajnac best shows that the government is conducting a good policy of attracting investments and sending an excellent signal to other potential investors.
He noted that Panasonic currently has 50 full-time workers and another 20 hired for a limited period of time.
He said that this company plans to significantly expand its production capacities next year and to create approximately 200 new jobs, which shows that the Serbian government has created an excellent environment for investment.
Representative of Panasonic in Serbia Dirk Bantel expressed his satisfaction with the company’s operations in Serbia and confirmed that the production of Panasonic will remain in Svilajnac and will not move elsewhere.
Having considered several locations in Serbia Panasonic opted for Svilajnac. The total planned investment will be between €12 million and €13 million, according to the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development.
