Support to direct investment key for job creation

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Regional Development Verica Kalanovic presented today in Vrsac contracts on allocation of incentives to companies Fresenius Medical Care and Serbita Shoes, which will open 651 new jobs in this city.
On this occasion, Kalanovic underlined that without new investment there will be no new jobs, noting that the Programme for support to direct investment is a key measure in the fight for new jobs.
She underlined that the implementation of this programme in the past five years brough about more than 33,000 new jobs in Serbia.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that Vrsac was put on the list of the cities of special interest because it has an unemployment rate above the average in the republic , which is why it received double incentives under this programme.
Fresenius Medical Care in Serbia is expanding its capacity for the production of medical devices, it invests more than €24 million and plans to hire 551 new workers, while Serbita Shoes company will invest approximately €600,000 in the equipment of the factory for manufacture of women’s shoes and will open 100 new jobs.
