Fifty-one project approved in investment promotion programme

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric said today that another 51 projects have been approved in the investment promotion programme, whose total investment value is approximately €260 million.
Ciric told Beta news agency that these projects should create more than 8200 new jobs.
The Minister noted that the Serbian government's programme for encouraging investment by providing grants to investors who invest in production proved to be very effective.
This shows that despite difficulties and the things we need to change, Serbia is still a country that is attractive to investors, Ciric underlined and expressed his hope that this year our country will have $3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI).
He specified that the FDI inflow in Serbia in gross amount inclusive of July this year was $1.6 billion.
