As part of the 11th cycle of the Programme of financial support to exporters, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, the funds were delivered to 169 companies and eight associations in individual amounts ranging from RSD 200,000 to RSD 2 million per company, or RSD 20 million per association.
SIEPA Director Bozidar Laganin explained at a press conference that the largest amount was allocated for individual performance of companies at international expositions – RSD 35 million, for certificates in quality management – RSD 20 million, while RSD 17.5 million was granted for boosting marketing capacity.
Export companies received RSD 16.5 for product certificates in 2011, while RSD 4 million was earmarked for market research.

Laganin underlined that this is the first time that ten companies have received RSD 11.8 million for opening branch offices abroad, while associations were granted RSD 17.4 million for the same purpose, and RSD 7.6 million for participation in international fairs.
Projects in the IT industry received RSD 22.6 million, those in electronics and electrical engineering RSD 15.8 million, and projects pertaining to food and beverages received RSD 13.9 million, he specified.
SIEPA Director noted that interest of companies and associations in this programme was considerable, adding that 226 companies and ten associations applied for it.
Minister of Economy and Regional Development Nebojsa Ciric explained that the Programme is primarily intended for successful SMEs dealing with export-oriented production or services, which do not hold a majority share in foreign markets, but have potentially good business projects.
Ciric voiced his hope that the funds will be used adequately and reiterated that the government will keep trying to facilitate business operations of SMEs.
The Programme of financial support to exporters began in mid-2006 and so far over RSD 356 million was allocated to 828 out of 1,364 companies that applied.
