Consumer prices in June 2011, compared to the same month of 2010, increased by 12.7%, while compared to December 2010, they rose by 6.8%.
Observed by main groups of products and services, the biggest price hike was recorded in the following groups: furniture, household items and maintenance (1.2%), transport (0.6%), clothes and footwear (0.5%), hospitality industry (o.3%), as well as housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and health services (0.2% each).
The biggest price drop was recorded in the group of food and non alcoholic beverages (-1.1%)
Prices of other products and services did not change significantly.
The Consumer Price Index is defined as a measure of the average change of retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption.
