Protocol on salary increase to employees of culture institutions signed

Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic and Minister of Culture Dragan Kojadinovic today signed a protocol on a salary increase to employees in institutions of culture for 2006 and 2007 with representatives of the culture trade union and culture and arts trade union "Nezavisnost".
Dinkic noted in a press conference that under this protocol, November salaries for workers with primary and secondary education will rise 21%, while qualified culture workers will earn 37% more than before.
He explained that salary increase in 2007 for employees in culture institutions will range from 7.5% to 24.6%.
Dinkic said that employees in culture institutions will receive a RSD 4,000 Christmas bonus.
Pensioners will get their November old debt installments amounting to half of one’s pension and not one quarter as before, which is due to large budget inflow in October, the Minister explained.
He also said that this budget surplus will be used to pay the fourth pensioners’ debt installment in December.
Dinkic also added that at the proposal of Minister of Culture Dragan Kojadinovic a commission for granting national pensions for deserving culture workers will be formed today, which will amount to nearly RSD 110,000.
