Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today in Brussels with European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue Peter Sørensen to discuss the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and developments in the region.
Đurić emphasised that Belgrade remains firmly committed to dialogue with Priština, stressing that the next phase of the dialogue should focus primarily on the full implementation of the agreements already reached. He recalled that the Community of Serb Municipalities has yet to be established due to Priština’s obstruction and failure to fulfil this obligation envisaged under the Brussels Agreement.
The Minister underlined that Serbia’s position is unequivocal: the Community of Serb Municipalities remains a priority and the key framework for building the institutional capacity of the Serb community and protecting its collective rights in Kosovo and Metohija.
