Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Bela Balint discussed with Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi the possibilities for deepening scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.

The officials also discussed improving cooperation in the field of science and innovation with the aim of developing young talent, as well as space technology and cooperation in the field of peaceful space exploration, given that Minister Al Neyadi is a world-renowned astronaut and promoter of space exploration.
In this context, the interlocutors also discussed the possibility of supporting Serbia in the process of joining international space exploration organisations, such as the Artemis programme.
Al Neyadi presented the experiences of the United Arab Emirates in developing the space programme over the past 20 years, highlighting the interest in concretising cooperation with Serbia in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to proceed with the signing of a memorandum that would define specific forms of future cooperation.
