During a visit to the Public veterinary station in Obrenovac, Krnjajic specified that out of 124 public veterinary stations in Serbia, 25% can be privatised right away because their property relations are regulated.
He said that the model according to which the privatisation of veterinary stations will be carried out, and which has been drafted by the Serbian Privatisation Agency, is good. However, he added that the way and criteria for the sale should be additionally defined in order to preserve the continuity of the field of activity.
Krnjajic stated that since public veterinary stations are of public interest, the government should prescribe the conditions of sale stipulating that the buyer has to be from the same profession and that he can change the field of activity only within five or ten years.
