Naumov stressed that NIS has recognised the energy needs of the city and the entire region, and also business opportunities. He added that Bujanovac is becoming a regional centre for liquefied petroleum gas, and consumers in the area are getting a secure supply of cheap and ecologically acceptable fuel.
He pointed to the fact that the opening of the filling station has created employment in the city, which is of lasting and greater value than the funds invested in its construction, because the opening up of new jobs shows that a new level in development has been reached.
NIS General Director Srdjan Bosnjakovic said that Bujanovac will become an important centre for liquefied petroleum gas for Pcinj and Jablanica districts, as well as for Kosovo-Metohija because of its proximity to Corridor 10
Bosnjakovic said that NIS selected Bujanovac because it is an underdeveloped municipality and the opening of this facility has made it easier for young people to reach their work places, and the municipality itself can now begin developing.
The filling station, where 15 attendants will work round the clock, will also sell bottled butane gas.
