Interior ministry employees attend workshop for fighting corruption

Belgrade, 25 October 2006

Assistant Minister of Interior Vladimir Bozovic opened today a specialised workshop for interior ministry employees which will be used to provide them with practical training on fighting corruption.

At the workshop organised by the OSCE mission in Serbia, which will be held today and tomorrow, Bozovic said he is pleased that the OSCE is continuing with educational projects and support projects to help the Serbian police interior control service.

He stressed the determination and preparedness of the interior control service to fight corruption in line with the law and the National Anti-Corruption Strategy. The fight against this deep-rooted social evil is one of the preconditions for Serbia's full integration in the family of European states, he added.

Experts from police interior control services in Belgium, Austria, Hungary and the Slovak Republic will present contemporary methodology of work and their experiences in fighting corruption at the workshop.
