President of the National council for cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Rasim Ljajic talked today with a delegation of the Monitoring mission of the Committee of Ministers and the Secretariat of the Council of Europe (CoE) for Serbia.

The meeting was organised with the aim of drafting the Eleventh report on Serbia's fulfillment of obligations to CoE as part of the post-accession process.
Ljajic acquainted the Monitoring mission delegation with the implementation of the Action plan and measures that are being taken to locate and arrest the Hague indictees, above all Ratko Mladic.
He said that no one believes in Mladic's voluntary surrender anymore and that all efforts are focused on his arrest.
Ljajic also familiarised his collocutors with elements of the media campaign which is part of the Action plan, and deals with increasing public awareness of the importance of facing the past and of the process of reconciliation in the region.
Head of the Directorate for Political Affairs and Cooperation of the Council of Europe Claudia Luciani said that the Monitoring mission's evaluation of the cooperation with the Hague tribunal will be of great importance and said that the CoE is ready to support projects that deal with facing the past and reconciliation in the region.
