Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic visited today the Senta municipal court on occasion of the renovation of the premises where the prosecutor's office, public attorney's office and magistrate court are situated.
Stojkovic recalled that funds for the renovation of interior premises, totalling 4 million dinars, were provided by the justice ministry in cooperation with the finance ministry.
President of the Senta municipal court Ivan Hires said that works on the interior premises, damaged by fire in 1986, are the largest scale undertaken so far.
Stojkovic stated that he also talked with judges and prosecutors about judicial independence, novelties in the Constitution and protection of both collective and individual minority rights.
He said that the new Constitution comprises provisions which will enable a heterogeneous structure of state organs reflecting the same structure of population in Serbia.
