Milosavljevic specified that €60 million will be set aside for all health centres in Serbia, whereas €150 million is to be invested in the renovation of four clinical centres – in Belgrade, Nis, Kragujevac and Novi Sad.
The infectology ward at the Cacak health centre was renovated as part of the programme titled "Emergency Reconstruction of Health Centres in Serbia", financed through a loan of the European Investment Bank.
The Minister recalled that the total loan for 20 hospitals and the Torlak Immunology and Virusology Institute is €50 million, out of which the Cacak health centre received €3 million.
The position of the health sector and health workers in Serbia has improved lately, Milosavljevic said and added that €150 million laden debt of the health sector was returned while current debts are serviced regularly.
We undertook a whole series of measures to return dignity both to patients and medical staff, whose work will be more valued in the future, Milosavljevic said and noted that it is quality that we fight for now.
Director of the Cacak health centre Momcilo Spasic announced the opening of an emergency ward, dialysis ward and a coronary unit.
Milosavljevic will also visit the general hospital in Uzice, where a cardiology ward and children’s ward will be renovated.
