The symposium is being organised by SANU and the Serbian government.
Hajdin said that an exhibition titled “Nikola Tesla – Work of a Genius” shows things from the Nikola Tesla’s Archives not shown in public so far as well as modern presentations of his best-known discoveries.
Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov said that the government proclaimed this year the year of Nikola Tesla and pointed out that Serbia is obliged to mark this jubilee not only because Tesla is of Serbian origin, but also because the scientist bequeathed his legacy to Serbia to preserve it.
The event was also attended by Tesla’s only surviving relative and Executive Secretary of the Tesla Memorial Society William Terbo, Dean of Berkley University Jasmina Vujic and professor at ETH Zurich Konrad Reichert.
The conference is attended by over 50 domestic and international scientists.
