€10m contract on building panel plant signed

Representatives of Italy's RW Panel s.p.a and Novi Sad-based Mikom signed today a contract worth €10 million concerning the construction of a sandwich panel plant in Serbia.

Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo attended the signing and said that the plant will have 20,000 square metre surface.
It will produce sandwich panels for construction industry using the latest technology and will employ 25 people, said Bubalo and added that half of the production will be sold at the home market and the other half will be exported.
Mikom General Director Mirko Karac said that his company has been cooperating with RW Panel s.p.a for quite some time and announced that the plant will be completed by end-2007.
RW Panel s.p.a Director Vittorio Marcon said that through their cooperation with Mikom, the company has been present on the Serbian market since 2000.
We are convinced that the local market has fulfilled all the conditions necessary for starting production in Serbia, said Marcon.
