World Day of Stoma Patients marked

President of the Asosciaiton of Stoma Patients “Ilco Serbia” Snezana Cmiljanic said on the occasion of observing the World Day of Stoma Patients that there are some 5,000 people in Serbia living with a stoma.
In Belgrade's Botanic Garden "Jevremovac", where the central event took place, Cmiljanic said that back in 2002 few patients were aware of their rights.
The aim of the event is education of the public, the formation of branch offices in small places in Serbia, cooperation with the European and world association of stoma patients with the aim of improving the patients' quality of life, as well as the implementation of the 2003Charter on the rights of patients with a stoma.
