Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic opened today the premises of the Kragujevac Commercial Court, the Department of Jagodina, where 25 civil servants and employees will work.
Stojkovic announced that the court will start its work after the legal procedure for the election of judges is finished.
The opening of this department is a very important step in creating a rational network of courts and announced the opening of a department of the Kraljevo Commercial Court in Krusevac.
We are trying to equip courts completely, as we did in Novi Sad, to have a quicker and more efficient commercial court procedure which enables the economy to function properly, Stojkovic said and underlined that there can be no perspectives of a better life without a good economy.
According to Stojkovic, commercial courts have improved their efficiency by 50% in the past year and a half, and the plan is that all cases be completed within six months.
The formal opening was attended by President of the Higher Commercial Court of Belgrade Radomir Lazarevic.
