Radomir Naumov
Naumov presented the experiences of the Serbian energy sector in the process of creating a Southeast Europe energy market and including it in the pan-European Energy Community.
He stressed the need for further integration of Southeast European countries' energy sector and establishing global ties with the pan-European Energy Community.
Naumov also pointed to the possibility and importance of sharing Serbia's experiences with other BSEC member countries.
Speaking about the stability of energy supplies at the national and regional level in the Southeast European region, the Minister stressed that if a satisfactory level of stable energy supply is to be reached both at the national and regional levels, it is important to continue linking energy sectors.
The Sochi meeting especially emphasised the need for diversified directions of energy supply, as well as for the construction of new energy interconnections. Minister Naumov also presented the plans and projects of the Serbian energy sector stressing that they can valorise not only Serbia's good geostrategic position as the central country in the region, but also its overall energy potential in favour of both the regional and national energy community.
At the ministerial gathering, a joint statement of ministers is to be adopted which should reflect all issues and problems brought up at the meeting.
Russian chairmanship of the BSEC expires in November, when Serbia is to take over its place.
