Stojkovic said that he agreed with Lovrin to accelerate the transfer process and that Serbia is to provide Croatia with information on the indictees that have already been transferred to Serbia, as well as on whether the terms stated in the sentence have been respected.
According to Stojkovic, he also agreed with Lovrin that Serbia and Croatia should exchange the cases of war crime indictees.
Since the constitutions of both countries forbid the extradition of their citizens to other states, they agreed to exchange the cases, that is, that Croatia hands over its cases against war crime indictees to Serbia and vice versa.
The Minister announced that the Croatian State Prosecutor and Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor will sign an agreement on the matter.
Stojkovic and Lovrin also discussed legal assistance in criminal matters, and focused particularly on the exchange of experiences in the implementation of judicial reforms and EU accession process.
