Director of the Veterinary Directorate at the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dejan Krnjajic stated today that privatisation of public veterinary services will be carried out in phases, which means that the services will go private first and then the facilities three years later.
This privatisation model was applied in Montenegro and it proved out to be very good, he said.
Krnjajic explained that privatisation of these services will upgrade their efficiency and easier organisation.
Speaking on meat exports, Krnjajic said that export of beef to the Netherlands started a month ago and noted that the UK and France are also interested in the Serbian beef.
He also said that the US is interested in Serbian dairy products and announced visits of several US experts to Serbia.
