Serbian Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic said that the funds from the National Investment Plan will be used for the reconstruction of health centre buildings, the purchase of 100 new vehicles and construction of new hospitals such as Dedinje 2, Sremska Kamenica 2 and Kovin psychiatric hospital.
Milosavljevic told Radio Television Serbia last night that €330 million which have been set aside for the Ministry of Health will also be used for the renovation of six psychiatric hospitals in the country, while €60 million will be invested in the reconstruction of local community medical centres and €150 million in the completion of clinical centres in Belgrade, Kragujevac and Novi Sad.
The minister added that €5 million will be set aside for oncology centres, and €6 million for a scanner centre in Belgrade.
He said that after the implementation of this plan, the idea on regional development should be realised by giving the most to the underprivileged and those who have been forgotten.
